[Android] App's....
 

Well I guess I just thought that it could be a nice thing to have a thread for us to post some working applications and programs. I havent had any luck finding anything that actually works so maby some of you have had better luck. (that and Im at work so I dont have that much time to look for them):rolleyes:

ok i dont know whats going on but when i download those apps and place them anywhere on my tablet and start Android thay are no where to be found. I do have the update.deb installed but that hasent seemed to do anything. i have tried to unzip them and still no result? What should be happening.

Applications with a space in the file name won't get copied automatically, due to a buglet in the script. I renamed "Lunar Lander.apk" to "LunarLander.apk", and it worked.

Well, sort of worked. I could start it, and start a game, but I never figured out how to fire the thruster.

I'm on an N800 running Diablo (3). :)

Im not entirelly sure why but i cant seem to get the games on here no matter what i do.

I installed the android image on my removable sd while i was booted from the internal sd with a cloned OS then tried to move the Android image file over to the remailing space on my internal card. I then installed the update file and that seemed to run great.It lets me start up Android and everything seems fine accept that it dosent have any applications in the applications file on the main page?

I am hopeing that someone else has had this and know what i did wrong.

When you download an application how are you doing it?
I have been using a desktop to download the .zip files onto my removable disk and then unzipping them and firing up Android but no luck?

I'm having similar problems matthew. I keep trying to "install" some software I've been working on (works fine on the emulator) but I can't seem to get it to appear in the Applications folder on my N800. I've copied the apk to all sorts of folders, the update.deb seems to MOVE it out, and then it disapears.

The first app I got to work and appear on my tablet was the file browser mentioned above. Browsing through my files (ok, pun intended :p) I found my APKs, but if I try to "execute" them it just shows me the binary...

Any ideas?

I wonder if it has to do with the fact that I'm programing on the latest SDK...?
