N810 sometimes reboots itself spontaneously once in 1-2 days
Since months I have that my N810 sometimes freezes and reboots during operation, just randomly, once in 1-2 days and sometimes even a few minutes after a deliberate reboot.
So I reflashed the device (which gave a considerable cleanup even after restoring my settings and reinstalling my favorite applications) and reformatted mmc2 (due to an allocation error which is discussed extensively in this forum). And the problem still is there I noticed these random reboots again with the same frequency. Or has the N810 a deliberate automatic reboot cycle by design ? |

When you say "reformatted", do you mean repartitioned? Since if you only format the existing partitions, you don't solve the problem.

The one I have now is doing the same thing.

Mine did that only while I had screen rotation installed (search: mysterious shutdown".
I have been told that that couldn't have been the cause, but once i reflashed, i set my nit up exactly how i had it EXCEPT for the rotation, and it hasn't done it since. |

And if you add the rotation back now (techs never leave well enough alone), does the crash come back?

I didn't see a real need for it anyway, it made everything weird. |

Is the swap or virtual memory enabled? When apps use up all the memory it can crash the system. You should enable swap or virtual memory in the control panel if you have not already.
