Unable to upgrade NMap 4,76_1 to 5.00-1
 

Hello Awryone!
I reacently instaled Nmap 4.76-1 and Zenmap 5.00-1...
Now ween i try to upgrade the Nmap 4-76-1 to the new 5.00-1
it tells me Update available but not installable...Doo i miss some lib
or doo i need to build and install the Nmap from scrach?
I just got my two Nokias and still trying to figure awrythin out.

I appologise!But i wasent aware that i emaild you!I know i wanted to E-mail you 10min after i just Registrd.Im vary new here like you see!

About my question...
Ween i click on the Details it says Instaled version Nmap 4.76-1.
Status---update available but not installable.
Available version 5.00-1

Now.Your.Zenmap is at its reacent version 5.00-1 and works fine but uses the older N-map 4.76-1 instead of Nmap 5.00-1 as well!...i,m guessing some libs are missing or something that prevents me to update my Nmap 4.76-1 to 5.00-1 as well...
But i cant figure out what!

Can you get root access and paste the output of running (as root): apt-get install nmap ?

i just did that and it told me ha i,m missing libdb4.2 libxml2!
Hoewer i did instal libxml2 but i lost in my installed Aplication the OS2008 Upgrade(wich is not uninstallable)....
I could not delete the OS2008 from installed Aplications and now its gone...
Howewer i,m trying many things right now...Still cant upgrade the Nmap 4.76-1 to Nmap 5.00-1 altought it says update awailable but not instalable
I also use sudo gainroot

i did once more sudo rootgain
and it told me that some packages cul not be installed!
The folowing packages ave unmet dependencies
nmap : Depends : libcap0.8 (>==0.9.3-1) but its not instalable
E: brocken packages

But wenn i go to apt-get upgrade instead of install i get a different message...
0 upgrded 0newly instaled,0 to remove and 1 not upgraded

Like i sayd i, geting bunch a different things...Some libs i downladed but lost the OS2008 upgrade in my instaled programs section...

And you're using Diablo (what does Control Panel -> About say for the version?), like mentioned in my product listing for Zenmap?

You seem to be the only one with this problem.

I'm guessing that the extra "=" is an mistake as the deb does not have it (Depends: libpcap0.8 (>= 0.9.3-1)) so I'm wondering why is your pcap so old? But, anyway, dpkg -i this deb: http://repository.maemo.org/pool/dia...sso1_armel.deb

HUH? I cant eavn log in anymore into maemo.org from my device...
This has newer happend before ...

Both devices are brand new cus i jus bough them less than a few weeks ago...
