N900 delete "get started" on the background
 

The get started widget on the desktop is simply annoying. I tried removing it but it wont badge. anybody successfully removed his/hers from the desktop?

1. click on open space on desktop
2. click on gear in upper right corner
3. click on the 'x' on the widget you want to close
4. click 'done'

yeah i can remove it, just hold down on the screen until the top says Desktop menu, then just close the app by the X.

Got it to work finally. I had tried doing that several times long time ago but it just wouldn't remove. Glad it is now gone.

Or uninstall Get Started all together from the device

Menu -> More -> App Manager -> Uninstall -> find Get Started and tap Uninstall

It will save you several MB as well.

If you have just removed the widget as per post 2 or 3, then:

1. click on open space on desktop
2. click on gear in upper right corner
3. click on desktop menu at top
4. click Add widget
5. Click Get started

if you have removed it via app manager

1. open app manager
2. download
3. Get started
4. as above if it doesn't show automatically

i cant find it in the app manager !!! i think it has been totally removed from the device ,,,,,, Do you know from where can i download it ???

You can download it from the app manager, if it's not showing in there you've probably got it installed.

Not sure why you'd want it back though.

could you tell me its name in the app manager !? because when i delete it ,, it was having a different name than ( get started widget )
