What do you think the first Firmware update will bring?
 

So, hopefully, the first firmware update for the N900 is not far off..

Anyone have any thoughts on what it might include in terms of fixes and additions (if any)?

Personally, I hope for a huge bug fix update.. Maybe some intel on MMS and potrait mode, but other than that.. bug fixes please, especially in the power management area, as widgets are currently unusable as they are the power sucking daemons of hell!

i be thinking the mms will not come as its going to mean nokia making a wep app, this is going to take them some time, for somthing that not going to be used load like 5% of us

i thought the 42.11 was the first firmware update . i heard the 2nd is due before the end of the year , is that true? we certainly need it

includes portrait mode for sure...as we were told it is coming before christmas

I know it has been asked several times wrto other phones, but not sure about the N900: is there or will there be an official place of changelogs for each revision/update of the core maemo software?

Bug fixes + possibly portrait mode.

So far I've seen 93 bug fixes N900 related.

What do you gyus exactly mean when you're saying portrait mode? Which applications would be included?

Only portrait mode for the web browser has been announced, so most likely, that's the only application that will gain portrait mode in the next firmware update.
