N900 infrared problem
hey guys i ran into a problem with my n900. As describe above I can't seem to get my N900 infrared to work with QTirreco remote control app. I can't seem see an infrared option in the sending or share area either. How can I test if my infrared is not dead?
please help this little lost bird out. I tried download more remotes but nothing is going. Regards, Maxx |
Re: N900 infrared problem
anyone have a solution to this?

Re: N900 infrared problem
I've tried that app and it worked great(I've since uninstalled it, already have a Logitech Harmony control). To check if it works, take a camera/a phone with a camera, point the camera to the IR sender(it must obviously be on), then press to send a remote command in the application. You should see a bright white light. It could be something wrong with the application though, so it appears non-working.

seriously no one can help me?

Re: N900 infrared problem
Infrared is only Consumerl IR... it means it's not IrDA it means it isn't possible to send through it.
It will only allow to control devices. |
Re: N900 infrared problem
so which meant i can't test it? any command which i can run to activate it? or doing a test run? it would be nice if someone can write an addon to the gallery and allowing infrared sending

Re: N900 infrared problem
If you have a DSLR with IR remote support there is a Shutter widget in the repos that allows you to control it.

Re: N900 infrared problem
is the widget called Shutter?
|
Re: N900 infrared problem
Yes, as Ruskie said. It's a small widget using LIRC to emit a shutter command to Nikon DSLR cameras.
I'm also working to extend it for other cameras. |
