[ANNOUNCE] 2 new apps
Hi All,
I have just released my first 2 apps to testing. The first is a simple expansion on Saslers countdown timer that counts up reps at the same time. Inspired by my recent ACL reconstruction. http://maemo.org/packages/package_in.../sitrep/0.4-5/ The second app is for weight loss/diet tracking. It can be used to track your intake and weight loss over time out of the box. The food lookup and calcs are designed around the commercial weight loss program I to follow, but I have tried to abstract the proprietary information from the core app....as such the calculations and food lists need to be supplied as csv files. Instructions on how to create your own csv are on the wiki. http://maemo.org/packages/package_in...mel/act/0.3-2/ Feedback would be welcome, (Package karma wouldn't hurt either :)) Shep |
Re: [ANNOUNCE] 2 new apps
Thank you so much! Would the be a way to count how many reps you do using the accelerometer?
Thanks! |

I'll give the accelerometer rep counting a shot. Might take me a while though. Not sure about compiling for diablo. I don't have a device to test with, but I'll give it a shot too. |
Re: [ANNOUNCE] 2 new apps
If you get it to compile, I'll try it I guess :) hope a re flash doesn't need to happen :) The accelerometer support will be a nice touch to the application, shame the n8X0 doesn't have it. Still would love to try them out though. The more applications for legacy devices, the better!

Re: [ANNOUNCE] 2 new apps
Hey shep I'm not sure what weight loss program your following but the one I am doing uses Fiber content of food to figure points also. Anyway to get that added as well? Also on the calc csv do I need to do a live for every possible Cal to Fat number? I know with programs like WW their is a formula that you use to calculate points seems that would be easier.

I do pull-ups, pushups, and curl ups every night. I leave my n900 in my pocket and use my A2DP headphones. I would envision the user leaving it in their pocket. I would definately try to make an armband of some sort if the cloths i'm wearing isn't suitable for my phone. Thanks! |

The WW formula is a) their copyright and b) only for the US version of WW. If there is a non proprietary formula I can use then please let me know and I'll add it. As I designed this for the program I was on I only catered for 2 factors in the calc. I'll have a look at making the number of factors configurable and adding a third, but that might make the calc.csv matrix very large. WW here supply a slider that you can use to take the Cals & Sat fat and get the points value for an item. How does this work with Fibre? Can you give me an example. Regards, Shep |
