n900 3.2010.02-8.002 Firmware Update won't update OTA
I've been browsing the web for days trying to look for answers. When I'm in the update manager and this update shows up for a Maemo 5 3.2010.02-8.002 Firmware, it doesn't give me a memory error or anything. I click on the firmware and it immediately tells me that I must update via my PC. I've tried to do this and NSU simply isn't working for me right now.
Does anyone have any ideas why it doesn't even allow me to update OTA? I know I have enough space on my root so it's not that. |

According to the wiki, you might have installed unstable/conflicting software. Try uninstalling them first before updating.

Do you think openarena would cause the problem that quake3 has been causing?

Re: n900 3.2010.02-8.002 Firmware Update won't update OTA
Yes, since openarena is also ioquake3 (I think). Uninstall that then try updating. Of course, you can install openarena after the update :)

Hmm... when I try to uninstall OpenArena, I get an error that says "Unable to uninstall 'OpenArena'" =(
Any ideas? |

Or perhaps anyone can tell me how to uninstall it manually through terminal? =o

Hmm... Is there an app called "ioquake3" installed in your phone? Look for it, and if there is, try to uninstall that.
I think if you can uninstall that, you don't need to uninstall OpenArena. (Having read the description in the App Manager, it said it's just a "content package" for ioquake3, it doesn't include ioquake3...) |
Re: n900 3.2010.02-8.002 Firmware Update won't update OTA
I don't have quake 3 install on the phone, it's never been installed before. OpenArena shows up under the App Manager, it just won't let me uninstall it

If you want to uninstall using the terminal, use
Code:
apt-get remove In your case: Code:
sudo gainroot |

If I were you I'd get back to the basics by formatting the eMMC and do a regular format. Then you can start out clean and be happier.
