copy paste help

i dont kno if im stupid or there is a problem on my device... but i cant copy a text on a browser on my N900...

i did this but still i cant highlight any text on the browser...

Hover mode. An arrow is displayed on the left. Clicking the arrow creates a pointer that can be used as a mouse to select text. Deactivate by clicking the arrow on the left. A quick hover can also be performed by swiping-and-holding finger on screen. This keeps the pointer visible until the finger is lifted. Also, pressing space performs a button click while on "quick hover". This can be handy if you just need to access a mouse-hover menu or such.

any help pls...
im trying to coppy a command to past on the terminal...:D

Re: copy paste help

You can use the virtual mouse, then hover over the text you want and hold the spacebar. Once the text is selected, ctrl-c to copy and ctrl-v to paste.

If you want

Anyway, left swipe across the screen to get the virtual mouse icon to come up. Click on the icon and it will highlight the text you scroll across automatically

Drag from left to right. The arrow will come up then click on it and drag the finger on the text or sentense you may want on the browser then use Ctrl+C on the keyboard to copy.

Go to terminal and click on the top bar for paste option.

done! easy pessy

WRONG!!!!!! YOU CAN PASTE and copy.

Just use the top option bar. the terminal will show the option if you have copied something from anywhere.

You do realize that you have to get the "mouse pointer" IN the browser
and HOLDING the SHIFT button to select text... :)

after that, just press CTRL+C
Good luck

Re: copy paste help

is there a setting on this that i have to do for the mouse pointer to show? its very frustrating now to copy a text on a browser...

i did exactly whats told on the wiki...
rrow is displayed on the left. Clicking the arrow creates a pointer that can be used as a mouse to select text. but still the mouse pointer is not showing and when i try to select a text on the browser, the browser glides with my finger or stylus. no mouse pointer showing...
