linked from Nokia's corporate site: http://www.forum.nokia.com/info/sw.n...emo_5_SDK.html Developers wanting to use a Microsoft Windows or Apple Mac environment should visit the Maemo SDK Virtual Image.. http://maemovmware.garage.maemo.org/2nd_edition/ |
Re: Maemo SDK! Request for virtual image upload
Dunno about this thing but this came afte 10 sec googling
http://maemovmware.garage.maemo.org/2nd_edition/ Have to say that this endless stream of different toolkits, frameworks etc. makes me dizzy. How on earth developers know what to download, when to download, how/when/why/where do & download & install. .edit Reminds me of maemo.org structure & organization :) Not in good way :| ..edit Looks like there is only Maemo Ubuntu Intrepid Server virtual SDK image left on server. |

Re: Maemo SDK! Request for virtual image upload
Hey,
Best thing to do is build your own virtual image :D I would suggest using Ubuntu 9.04 Desktop (32-bit) in VirtualBox. |

Re: Maemo SDK! Request for virtual image upload
Finally found a thread that would explain why I've wasted the last day and a half. You still get directed to the download screen from the 'Get started with Maemo 5' tutorial.
I see the last post is 5 months old, is there any update? |
Re: Maemo SDK! Request for virtual image upload
Seriously annoying... Wasted a few hours of precious spare time trying to find that missing download.
If you are going to take down resources that are referenced in a tutorial, maybe you could put a "Readme" or something up to warn the idiots struggling with learning this stuff? I assumed I was doing something wrong when my virtual machine looked nothing like theirs. I've googled trying to figure out how to turn on scratchbox in that download for a good hour. I've got Madde working just fine, just needed to get something to help with the packaging and such. David |
