it would be nice if op would give something more than a link plus "discuss"...
it must be somewhat interesting to op if he has created the thread in the first place... |

What's even funnier is reading the comments. Man people are stupid:
"I like video game, I interest in science.. I is geek... then why do iOwn an iPad? BLAM THIS STUDY" Way too many self-proclaiming geeks don't know the first thing they are talking about. |
Re: Psychological evaluation of iPad bashers vs. fanboys
I don't get how people can come to hate an inanimate object with so much zeal. It's like the iPad or iPhone has assaulted some of y'all... took your girlfriend/boyfriend/blowup doll and you're one comment away from becoming the next Mel Gibson.
I just don't get it. |
Re: Psychological evaluation of iPad bashers vs. fanboys
I seriously doubt it has much to do with capitalism as much as it has to do with commercialism or perception - more of the latter, a tad bit of the former.
If anything - and I'm gonna piss off a bunch of folks here - I'm personally tired of hearing that this or that is a better option when it has very little in some areas to show for it. Concept is great. But I cannot go out and by concept. Do people fall for Apple's marketing? Hell yeah. Does it make them dumb and you smart since you don't fall for it? Perhaps not. But it really just shows that you're easily angered by stuff being different than what you use... when honestly it's just a different rock in a caveman's hand. The hate, I've never understood. Fanboyism is analogous to patriotism. And talking about stuff but not having truly universally accepted options that can fully replace the thing(s) you hate so much, waste of time. Who knows. Perhaps there is a true need to evaluate a fanboy. I fear they'll just find a bunch of outsiders that want to be insiders but only based on their limited grasp of what makes an group a functional group. |
