Does this one look alright, other than, och, 7" too big?

The Archos are very confusing. And I want to stay away from it, as I cannot tell which is option is paid option, which comes with the tablet....

I am reading the Amazon thing, looks interesting..

Edit: Finished reading..........., very interested. Anybody has any experience with, uh, eLocity?
If they run maemo/me-go/u-go or something more complete than android would be a big plus

Never heard about this company. I would rather wait for the Samsung Galaxy Tab, same size.

Rockchip, which means it's an ARM11. This is equivalent to an N810 or Android G1.

As for open source, I'll believe it when they release redistributable modules for X11 as well as Android. Too bad they're holding off on 3G until they find a carrier.

looks interesting, but then again most android tablets that i read about sound interesting but sofar most have been vaporware.

i'll wait to see if this has android market place, to read some reviews on it.

if not i might look into an archos tablet.

I am very please with my nitdroid performance, and would like to see the same thing on a bigger screen AND able to get to the more of the android market. With nitdroid, a lot of apps I can 'see' but was blocked to get. The next android tablet, not phone, I have a phone already, I am going to get have to have the real android market, what I 'see' is what I get. This is the most important requirement for me.

The tablet you mentioned sounded interesting. However, you get what you paid for. It is almost 3X cheaper ($350 vs $139) and the difference:

OS 2.2 vs 1.5 (this may not be that much of a problem if you can hack the OS)
512 MB vs 128 MB , this is absolute
800 X 480 vs 800 X 600, the cheap one has more resolution, surprise!
..

Just eye ball difference.

It is a good alternative, I agree.

Apparantly the cheapee $135 can run os2.1, so it is hackable, http://gadgetmix.com/mids/rockchip-android-2-1-mid/

Ummm.......... interesting, even before its release, Amazon up its price from $350 to $370.
