Wrong. Very wrong. The Nokia n9 runs meego harmattan and not Mer/Nemo.

To all new users reading this thread. Please be aware that installing nemo/mer should NOT be considered as a replacement for the default OS on your Nokia device. This OS is still in the development stages and still contains many "bugs" and software that has still yet to be developed.

Nemo and Mer is not recommended for end users for the reasons above. It is primarily intended for Developers and power users with extensive knowledge the n900 as there is a very real danger of losing all data on your phone and causing a reflash.

It should also be noted that sifo is posting information found from various sources across the web and is offering NO information to help restore your devices should the worst happen.

1- Advantages = Nemo is alternative OS just for Testing and Developing.
2- Sceenshots = just search in google images
3- Nemo supports calls and SMS
4- Yet is not a complete OS (it has some bugs, few apps and under development)

In my opinion Installing Nemo is not a great risk but need some IQ and general knowledge of computing. Risk is better for experiments after all you can make backup of data before installation.

For real? So you just copyied it from the wiki page, and don't even know the difference between Maemo 6, MeeGo and Nemo??

@sifo: PLZ stop posting guides from all over the web which are already here and probably very likely come from this board anyway. ;)
