Unable to go to settings
Yesterday i scanned my device with norton and found some 650+ virus......as my Norton automatically deletes the infected files many files got deleted from my device....Now the "Settings" icon is not visible in device....
I made a short cut icon on desktop....but it does not opens the settings.....what can i do now :( |

Copy the below shortcut to /usr/share/applications/ Then restart. Might help.

What device did you scan with which Norton tool??? Please be as verbose as possible.

Just shortcut icon for Settings in the launcher view. Anyway try your luck. (Inside is a .desktop file.)

Since some applications use the MyDocs partition also to store their settings, it is a very bad idea to scan that filesystem completely. Do it on a per-file-base, whenever you exchange files from the N900 to windows.
Still i am not quite sure what the error is that you are facing, is it just the missing shortcut, or is the settings application corrupted? |
