A Certain Internet Tablet
 

I've been catching up with some manga lately, and stumbled across an interesting item in the fourth volume of "A Certain Scientific Railgun". Our heroine, Mikoto Misaka, a girl with the power to control electricity, is trying to track down information on a strange student. As it turns out, she uses a fairly interesting device to do this... :)

(This manga came out in 2009. But, an anime covering this volume is just starting broadcast this month. I'll be interested to see if her little device gets changed...)

Yeah, i did never use this Tablet! I Was symbian, before jumping in Maemo, but the image speaks herself, The nokia Tablets was (are) the best smartphones / computers.

We will see - in the first episode she had a green Gekota themed flip phone, which really didn't look very suitable for hacking :)

Yeah, they've put a lot of effort into designing that Gekota phone, so I'm sure they're going to keep pushing it pretty hard. :) :)

Actually, I took a look back at A Certain Magical Index season two, because I thought there was a scene with Misaka doing some hacking -- and yeah, in episode 7 there's just a very brief shot of her holding the N810, although it's abstracted it a bit. So, I guess they're probably going to stick with it this season. :)

Well, it actually showed up in today's episode. Unfortunately, they've turned it into a small laptop-like device; but it still has a bit of the look of an N810...

They added a row to the keyboard and tossed on IceWM. Sweet.
