how to exactly flash a n900
 
i need to flash it with usb as currently i dont have acces to fbus. i tried the wiki the commands i coudnt. no time to learn fishing need the fish. give me link to flashing tool and what exactly to type in cmd (le me will copy paste it) i have the indian variant bin file downloaded. thanks

bin i have this file and os is windows xp 32 bit.

Install with (32 bit linux): sudo dpkg -i maemo_flasher-3.5_2.5.2.2_i386.deb

Flash:
sudo ./flasher-3.5 -F RX-51_2009SE_20.2010.36-2.004_PR_COMBINED_004_ARM.bin -f

i coudnt :( all i get is this is not a recognised command or batch file whenever i input a command.___________________________ current device state and how . i tried to restore a backup menu backup (root and opt both) lt went succesfully after it it wont start. pressing the power button it shows the nokia logo and constantly on white led after a while it just shuts off. plluging in charger it will go in reboot loops with the nokia logo. plugging in computer with and without pressing u key there is nokia logo without light and goes to reboot loop it connects and disconects contionusly. _______________so please try to get me out of this atm. ____________

Relax. Post exactly what you see on the screen (of your PC). That "not a recognised command or batch file" sounds like you're not so experienced with Windows (nor DOS) either.

And considering that Windows/DOS implicitly includes . in the PATH (unlike Unix or Linux), you must be doing something seriously wrong.

General advice: download everything you may need to flash your N900. Firmware images, flasher, etc. and save it in different places. In case future operating systems don't work with the flasher, etc. I also recommend saving some 32-bit Linux (live)CD and/or VM. Another VM with Windows XP might be useful.

The N900 will never die, after all, so we might as well prepare :)
