No, it's still not available to buy, but those that were selected will be automatically e-mailed when it becomes available in the store they chose.

Agreed.

Anidel, the codes are one-use only. If that code is real, some unscrupulous person could use it before you. I would delete ASAP.

For what I've understood on maemo-users ML, the N810 will come in France with an AZERTY keyboard.

Well ok.. it was removed, probably by some administrators. That's fine, just wanted to explain that is was totally invented, it was like 1234567890 but with the first group of 5 inverted, followed by the second group of 5 inverted.

And, the other group of people may be getting an email that their submission wasn't selected among the happy 500.

I just got my email saying I'm not in. Oh well. It was worth a shot. At least I don't have to worry that a spam filter ate the message I was accepted.

I'm not in either. Actually, I was worrying about what to do if I suddenly receive it. Probably, I should not submit it in the first place. It would mean that I have to buy N810. I'm quite happy with my N800 and I would rather skip N810 model. The only attracting thing is a builtin GPS. But there are other things I do not like: external design, slider keyboard, micro-SD. Another problem is the infamous online store. I have bad experience with it when trying to buy GPS device. After three days of phone calls, where I was required to call them, answering to "verification" questions, finally they required American Express to verify me as well, I've canceled order and ordered GPS quickly, without any "verifications" and 50$ less in another store.

About the project I was planing to do on N810 (it was application for GPS photo-tagging), I've decided to buy Sony's specialized device instead. Funny, it will cost me less, then N810 with discount.

I gots mine too! Thanks a million Ari and Nokia! I was part of N800 device program too ;) I was hoping this time round I'd get it; but I wasn't confident since I got it the last time.

Once again thanks guys; you rock! Can't wait to buy my promo N810!


(I am giving a lecture in college soon about Linux to ~200 people; hopefully I get my N810 in time for some serious showing off!!!) :) :) :)

I got the negative one as well.. if there's a new program for the mythical N900 maybe I'll reapply then. Oh well, I won't be able to assist much when people ask N810-specific questions. ;) Anyway I'll be concentrating more on development for the N800 (that's the plan anyway). And I still hope the next tablet will be full-size, dual SD! :D (Actually it would better be described as SD+upgradeable internal storage..)

Mine will be picked by a friend in Paris and send it to me (my precious) mileeees away (like n800 was, my dear country lacks many things i see ...)

What store URL are you at? I looked at the nokiausa.com and there is no 810 listed to buy.

The nseries.com/n810 still asks for an e-mail to let you know when it's out

go to nokiausa.com (or your local nokia.com site) then click on view shopping cart at the top.
You may need to enter your zipcode, and then you will come to some phone. Click on the phone only option that is a little below the tab menu.
A popup screen will ask which carrier, and you want to be sure to check the "include unlocked phones" option. Then find the n810 click on buy and there you should have a purchase for asking for any coupons or gift numbers. The code is invalid for the coupon, and shows no balance in the gift card number. :( Yet folks have been buying these over the phone.

Argghh.... Oh the pain... :)

UPDATE: Called Nokia, and they said the device is available for purchase. So if it is Why is my code not working!!! I could have ordered it had I wanted to pay 479 +S&H (minus the secret discount. ) :) But I want the super special price that I thought this code would give me. :eek: What's going on?!?!

You can't use your code by placing an order on the phone with them ?

Did you receive the email telling you that your code that they sent previously is ready to be used now at your local shop? I don't think that was sent yet.

Nokia was being nice sending out the code early, but maybe they should have waited until it was able to be used.
