Repository site gets new look and improved features!
 

Joschi has just unveiled a major upgrade of his repository database site here:

If you have ever used the site before, you'll be very impressed with the new look!

And there are a few nice feature tweaks too (full database search; list packages per repository).

If you haven't used it before, you need to check it out now. It is so easy to use. Search for new files and applications for your tablet... and add new file repositories to your tablet App Manager with a single click.

The "new layout" of course is only a clone of maemo.org, not really my work. I hope the web designers of maemo are agreed with this...:cool:

No, all the thanks go to you Joschi. I have been a fan of your site since the first time I saw it. And thanks so much for being open to feedback on it. Your site has helped me many times in just my first month of tablet ownership!

Wonderful!

I always get confused with OS2007 repositories, so this is going to be a very handy reference.

One tiny suggestion - add an option where you can search all three OS versions at the same time.

That was one of the improved features, you may have missed it.

Under the Search button is an option for "in whole database".

Ah, if you have used the RSS-Feed-Function, please delete the old version and then reinstall the new one with a click on the top right corner of the page (the RSS icon), because the paths has been changed!

So you'll stay automatically informed on new entries and status-changing of all repositories...:)

...and now? Well, I'm working on the next version, of course...;)

Great update to an already great repositoty database!

Good work, thanked to both Joschi and Technut :)

(I wonder if the repositories already present in a user's tablet can be accessed somehow from a web browser and hence can be dynamically marked as "Already present on your device" when the user browses to it...)

Edit: or perhaps someone can right a maemo client application that will talk to Joschi's database and allow repository sync operations.
