Battery percent time left?
Is there a way to get the actual percent of battery time left rather than hours left or days?

Re: Battery percent time left?
To be honest, I rather have the time left. Between so many batteries and devices, the % on any particular battery doesn't say much. Add in load changes and I rather have the device calculate it / estimate it for me.
This of course doesn't help my math skills ;) |
Re: Battery percent time left?
Ah, but the Pepper Pad gives you both...

Re: Battery percent time left?
I'd like to have this information during charging. While charging it only says that it's charging, but not for how long...

Oh: :D:rolleyes:;) Gripping hand: Just about anyone is better at battery gauges than the Nokia Itablets. |
Re: Battery percent time left?
The battery level meter in the status bar is actually a random number generator, why anyone is interested in what it says (whether it be in days & hours or percent) is beyond me as it's usually total bo11ox. Mine can say I've got 2 hours left and 5 minutes later I'm getting battery low warnings - it's total nonsense.

Re: Battery percent time left?
It's very useful!
If the screen is lit and you can see it it means your Nokia is on. |
Re: Battery percent time left?
I wrote a command-line app to display the remaining battery charge in percent.

Re: Battery percent time left?
Thank you sooooo much :D Now I get to check my battery status from KDE - that was one very important thing I couldn't figure out how to do. Thanks again.

Ah the joys of watching the battery meter go from Full down to 2 out of 7 bars. :) |

Re: Battery percent time left?
I always though the reason that battery life indicators were so rubbish was the battery technology.
something about them giving a steady voltage output for most of the time and then suddenly dropping at the end (this is by design I think). Hence, difficult to measure... Zuber |
