Comp USA N810 for $286!!!
 

Hey guys and gals,

Just wanted to give a quick heads up regarding Comp usa's clearance sale. I originally purchased my nokia n810 for $479 plus tax which came out to $505. After toying with it for a few days and doing some research I fell in love with it however I didnt want to pay $500 for it. Fortunately, I found out about Comp USA's clearance sale and returned my original unit and just today purchased a brand new N810 and received 30% off which came out to $286 plus tax. A word to the wise, I woluld definitely contact your nearest comp USA and find out if they have it at that price. From what I was told this device is considered a PDA and all PDA's are 30% off. I live in Florida so I hope this applies to all of you. Hope this helps and good luck to everyone.

I am in Miami, FL but the best thing to do is call all the stores like I did and tell them you are looking for the Nokia N810 Internet Tablet make sure they understand its not the N800. I actually purchased it from the Pembroke Pines location. I believe they still have 2 left in that location. I am trying to locate the receipt for you so I can provide you with the 6 digit sku # ;).

The issue with me is a bit complex :) : I do not live in the USA, I live in Mexico, so, my cc is issued here so, not all stores accept the cc when online or mail ordering (even tough they are international cards, amex/visa/mastercard... go figure!).
Then, I need it to be shipped to the hotel where I will be staying at, and pray pray pray it gets shipped, that it gets there in good shape and that the people at the hotel indeed keep it there for me up to the time I check-in.
Anyway. I will call the store and see what can be done.....

I understand completely febb. I called but am not getting an answer so I have to go there anyways to pick up a few memory cards bc I completely forgot to get that today LOL. I will check availabilty on the N810 for you as well. When I was there this am they told me they had 3 and the good news is the N810 isn't listed on their website and when I told them about it they were completely oblivious to the unit until I asked a manager and he went to go grab me one so that is a good sign for us that no one really knows they are even in stock LOL I'll let you know if they still have 2 left.

I just checked in Lexington and the CompUSA here will honor the 30% off. However, the total comes to $335 plus 6% tax. How did you get it for $286?:(

WOW you are right! I just did the calculation and it comes out to $336 ( $479 * 30% off = 143.70) Maybe they had it marked down from $479 to begin with? Hmmm will they honor it for the price I paid?

Ernie and Febb the total came out to $305 for me with tax. Call them up and tell them your cousin just purchased the unit for this price and you want to buy it at that price. My uncle just did that and it worked LOL They will be opened til Feb 2nd but it's first come first serve and even if it is $336 Ernie that's still a hell of a deal. Dont you agree?

No luck for me. Yesterday I've called my friend in Hollywood, FL and told him "go to the Pembroke Pines Compusa store. He's my best friend :) and did that but once at Compusa the manager told him: a) No N810'S. (Just N800's). b) No idea about the 30% off for pda's, just 15% off already included in tag prices. So, the N800 costs 219.99 and no N810's at all..

akd thats very strange considering i called this am and they said they still have 2 available. I am going back tomorrow bc I purchased the wrong mem card lol and I promised my dear friends Hedgecore and Martin I will check for them so I will keep my eyes open for you as well :D

I can't even get the CompUSA here in San Antonio to answer the *^*! phone, much less tell me they have the N810...Once they picked up the phone and hung right back up.

Dee take it from my experiece your best bet is to go over there and personally speak with a manager bc these employees really have no idea what we are talking about. They think its the N800 the sku is 649370. Hope this helps!

I called around to the stores in Houston, but had no luck. Each said they don't stock the N810. I live an 1 hour away, so driving to just check is out of the question. Can any confirm or deny this deal at any Houston Compusa's? Thanks.

Holyoke Mall in Massachusetts sold me their last one last night for $302.39 tax inc.
It's evidently a phone, you see, and those are 40% off.
Whatever.

I actually went there to see if I could get an N800 for under $200.
They had 3 N800, but they wanted $239 plus tax.
I'm not sure I wouldn't have liked an N800 better, but it was such a bargain.

Anyway, y'all are in trouble.
I'm a non-Linux literate Palm user.
Why'd they make the thing so pretty if it's just supposed to be hacker-bait?

I went to my local CompUSA in Houston and found only a used N800 and one of the GPS kits for the N800. They wanted $285 for it!!

I browsed the other items in the store and didn't feel like anything was being discounted at all.

I got an N810 a few days before Christmas at the local CompUSA for 30% off so $335 (no tax in this part of Alaska). It was the last one in the store. I was not planning to get one since I've been happy with my 770 and did not need webcam/gps/thumbboard. Plus I had already spent my gadget budget on an XO laptop.

But at that price...

That's the reason why they got to close almost all of their stores. I came to one CompUSA store in Arkansas and found 3 N800. They said they can give me 40% discount which comes down to $240 b/c the original price is $399.99. Is it funny?

I just bought an N800 at my local CompUSA, and they gave me 40% off because it was in their cellular inventory. That would more closely match the numbers you quoted.

Compusa is discounting all their gear because they are closing down all their retail stores.

So are these discounts "in-store only" or is the price in the store the same price I would find on their website?

Because (granted this is a "competitor" and not the N810) if the price online is the same price in the store that is discounted - They have officially gone nutty

Especially when shops like JandR sell that item (link) for ~$350.

I guess they don't inventory on refurbished stuff, so they can'tchange the price to fit. I tried to buy a refurbished computer form TigerDirect before. They canceled my order after all due to wrong inventory.

I stumbled on one at my local CompUSA in Nashville. Picked it up before I had even been here to these forums to find out what an internet tablet can truely do. I am definately hooked. I hope more of you can find one at your local CompUSA. It was in with the phones at the store I went to. Got it for 40% off. At a second store on the other side of town they had the tablets in with the PDAs.
