ComicRack possible on the N800?
 

Does anyone know how to make "ComicRack" installable for the N800? Right now it's only usable on Widows. This would be cool to have on the tablet although I delieve I'd be able to copy the books onto an SD card. I posted the link for anyone who thinks it can be done. Also, thanks for the Comic Book reader application, it's great. It keeps my son reading on trips.

It's not going to happen.
Try looking for a linux app that can read these comic books, then chances might be better...

You could try Comix. It is written in python and runs without any alterations (in a very unhildonised state). Depends whether this is what you are after.

Cool, thanks a lot peterjb31. I'll check it out right away. Too bad the N800 is still limited as to how much internal memory there is. So many apps so little room.

Not really. Search the forums for "booting from mmc". Then there's pretty much unlimited space...

I use Evince to read CBR's. It's a little shaky but gets the job done. You might wanna try that too.

Thanks cashless. I installed "Evince" and it works well on my PDF comics but does anyone know why I can't open them on the "Comix" app? I checked the app menu thinking maybe there was a format it had to be in but I saw nothing that gave me a clue. Am I supposed to convert them to something else before they are viewable in "Comix"? I did a search and found nothing.

PS: This is the coolest device next to my "Vaio Micro PC" I own and you guys get my props for all the hard you put into these applications. Now, if it could only play simple MMOs like "Tibia" it would totally rule!!!

Its basically an image viewer so I don't think it supports pdf documents. It does have the ability to open a compressed folder in one of several formats and to open all the images in that like a comic archive.

Thanks again. Now I know it doesn't support pdf's. I guess it's better to have both apps just in case.
