I doubt it. I read somewhere that the Flash Price Cuts are done for awhile.

Well panasonic is releasing the 32GB SDHC card sometime this month, so i'm sure that that will push the price of the 16gigs down as well.

When (and if) the hyped, new-tech, terrabyte flash card come next year, these cards/prices will go the way of the 8-Track Cassette!

Yeah, but who honestly needs a 1TB SDHC card to use in an internet tablet that has a 400mhz processor and 256mb RAM? Heh heh...

Re: Adata 16G SDHC $65 newegg.com, no rebate

I don't think anyone may need 1 or 2 1T SDHC cards in their n800 but it would be nice to have. You would have an alternative to the usb drive which many people have, it could now be in one device. Really, who needs a n800? If the price is right people will buy it then find that need.

Re: Adata 16G SDHC $65 newegg.com, no rebate

- the deal is back on... just ordered a couple for one of my n800s...

- it's nice to have two slots, and since i have other SDHC devices [cameras], the older (i.e., smaller capacity) cards will live on!

(with the 1GB cards relegated to /dev/null, AKA the 'bit bucket')

:-)

Re: Adata 16G SDHC $65 newegg.com, no rebate

With a Tb or two, I could save a lotta room. ;)

Heck, I could just dump my whole CD collection into the thang, uncompressed if desired.

Be great if you could store (and video output) full rez DVDs too. But there will soon be mini-Tb players for that next year or so.

Eventually, everyone will be able to wear Tb pocket mini-camcorders* and record and document their whole life if they wanted to. It will be know as "The Century of Boredom!"

*they got models for business and law-enforcement people now w/ secure, change-of-custody options.

newegg has a 30-day return policy, with one-year warranty, and Adata has a lifetime warranty on the card... (always save your electronics purchase packaging and receipts!)

This is a full sized SDHC card. For an N810 you need a micro or mini SDHC card.

Any chance you would be interested to make one of them bootable? and the result is...?

Just curious,

- umm, no... why bootable? i'm using them for storage...

- do you mean partition and format for booting the n800 with an alternative OS?

Yup. Alternate OS or same OS, to increase prog installation space.

I like the idea. I have been doing it with 2006/2007/2008OS. Just look at the 200 plus mb on the rootfs free space available always get me hi :p

i've been using this card for a few months but yesterday when i was downloading maps with maemo mapper the filesystem got corrupted and i can't see the card in my n800. i don't have a sdhc reader so i can't try to fix it with scandisk.

anybody run into this and have a fix? it's happened with my 8gb sdhc from kingston but upon reboot of the n800 it's good to go. i've tried many reboots on the n800 and no go.

.

You need the panasonic SD low level formatter with a SDHC reader.
You can get one from here for $1.99, http://www.internettablettalk.com/fo...885#post148885, thread #7. Dont cry if you lost all $1.99. The vendor is 'slow' in sending stuff.

Edit: it is a reader, not quite sure whether it writes.
