Anyone using N800 & N95?

I remember N95 was the perfect 3G modem for N800 with OS 2007. Along came a firmware update for N95 and OS update for the N800. (almost the same day both) Hasn't been the same since. Dropping connection happens far too frequently.

Any people where with the same problem? Is it the phone or the tablet?

No problems with OS2008 and 10.2.006 on my N95/3. I've decided to skip the N95 update after reading some of the posts on howard forums.

Okay, so then I guess it's the v20.0.015 fw

Why did you skip the update? Everything apart from the lost tracking thing in maps is imo much better with the new fw. Well apart from the possible dropping connection thing..

I have a N95 and the N800, and yes the bluetooth connection drops all the dammed time. Wish there was someway of fixing this as its a real pain.

Have you guy's tried JoikuSpot to use your 3G through the wifi?

IMO works quite nicely from what i have seen testing it out on my laptop. Don't know how well it works with an N800 though. But i'd guess it would work just as well. Unless of course the connection dropping you are experiencing is due to a dodgy 3G connection.

Surey it woud use alot more battery life?

Nothing to do with the 3g since my w950i doesn't disconnect

n810 + n95-4 = dropped connections extremely often

Hi everybody - I´m from Germany
Using my N800 (OS2008) + N95 8GB (newest fw v20.0.016) = same problem. Connection drops all the time. I don´t have very much fun with it.
Seems like there is no problem on both devices with other hardware via blueetooth.
Anybody got an idea what the problem might be ?

Re: Anyone using N800 & N95?

Just another quick "me too" to say that I'm also getting drops all the time with my N95-1 running the latest firmware connecting to my N800. It seems to work fine though as a usb modem so I'm pretty sure it's a bluetooth thing. Tested it with my old N70 and had no problems.

I flashed to Diablo. My first test connection lasted almost 70 minutes.

Re: Anyone using N800 & N95?

So you think it's improved by Diablo, or is that consistent (as a lucky point) with Chinook patterns?

Hello everybody
there is an brandnew firmwareupdate. The version-number is 4.2008-23-14. - Nokia Germany told me this might help the problem. I will report to you on my experiences.

i am having N810 and N95 1 and am struggling to have a good set up, the wizard do not pick up my orange data connection

Re: Anyone using N800 & N95?

I can unfortunately confirm that in my case the problem definitely still exists with the latest tablet update. Have been running it for a few days now and the lost connection is just as frequent as before.

Re: Anyone using N800 & N95?

I have to concur, the problem persists under diablo. The only app. that works better under the new firmware is Transmission, which used to fritz the wifi connection, works like a charm now.

Will try N810 and N95 to see if this works for me.

Honestly all I did was flash to 23-14 on the N810 and pair with N95-4 as provided in the beginning wizard.

What version firmware is your N95-1?

Also I'm using At&t in the US. This may be network related and beyond our control. The 3G icon comes up when idle but snaps back to 3.5G. Maybe try setting an "always connected" mail4exchange or gmail(imap) keepalive?

no drop connection after upgrading to diablo on my n800 and N95 8GB (fw v20.0.016). I´m running this since one week.

To those with no problems, are there any AT commands present?
