N810 Price Drop. Now $332 with Promo Code

Good day everyone.

I've just been informed that Nokia USA has dropped the price on the Nokia N810 internet tablet. If you use the promo code SCENEZINE at the NokiaUsa store, you'll receive 15% off, discounting the price down to $331.99 delivered. I think you'll agree that this is the best price for the N810 out there today.

Head to http://n810discount.com for links and details.

I'll post additional info as we receive it!

How do you get $311.99 delivered if it is $332 after promo code?

- by missing a digit on one's calculator or keyboard?

:-)

- still, a mighty fine price... *if* one wants an n810...

(Nokia USA is also giving free 2-day FedEx delivery, so a very good price... are we going to be saying 'buh-bye' to the n8x0?)

Too fast with the keypad. I've corrected the original post. Thanks for the catch.

Europe is still full priced too and like always with almost a 1 dollar=1 euro. what a... :(

Re: N810 Price Drop. Now $332 with Promo Code

UPDATE:
The price of $332 is actually a mistake on the part of Nokia. The official price with coupon is dropping to $373.99. However if you act FAST, you can still get it at $332 today before they get it changed on the site. :)

It's more like 1EUR = 1,5USD.

Nokia N810 Internet Tablet Price Drop, Down by $90

Quote:

Nokia has lowered the price (at least in the US) of the Nokia N810 Internet Tablet. The price of the Nokia N810 has gone down by $90 to $389.99. If you purchase an N810 directly from the Nokia Nseries online store, you can get an additional 15% off by using the 'SCENEZINE' coupon code, bringing the final price down to $331.49 with a free 2-day shipping from FedEx. Great price! Is this a sign that the WiMAX Internet Tablet is to be announced soon?

Don't believe that was anjin's point. I read the statement to say that the costs between US prices and European pricing was "AS IF" the exchange rate was US$1 = 1EUR rather then reflecting the actual exchange rate.

All I can say to the original comment is...so? For DECADES we lived and in many ways still do live with a huge pricing disparity between here and other places in the world. So, welcome to the club.

Perhaps there is a greater EU/local import tax on these sort of goods compared to those in the US.

Re: Nokia N810 Internet Tablet Price Drop, Down by $90

They should have debuted at $399 to begin with. $479 was a little too much to pay considering the n800 was at 230.

usa store: $389.99

italian store: €459,00

I imagine that in usa is not considerating tax and in italy yes around 20%
In all cases if we think that euro is stronger then euro it seems to me worst!!!

I feel your pain. There always seems to be a unjustifiable price gap across the Atlantic. Copy of 3dsMax retails for about $3000USD in US and Canada, same piece of software is £3000 in the UK. They claim the increase in pricing is due to language support in Europe

Re: Nokia N810 Internet Tablet Price Drop, Down by $90

I kind of understand this price gap when it comes to US branded devices - but hey Nokia is from Finland. ;) Lowest price for today is 434 EUR..

@ brecklundin: got the anjin's point.

Actually the cheapest Finnish price that I have found is 419 euros (428e with delivery). ;)

They should drop the price in similar fashio ($1=1€) but I guess now they actually use the correct exchange rate and price drops 60 euros.

- interesting! i also found disparity by country/region when looking at Skype's per-minute pricing schedule...

- but is the Apple iTunes Store still US$0.99 no matter where you live?

Still £329 on Nokia UK :( And $389 = ~£195 :( Hell, even the original $479 = ~£240

But that's not what the N800 launched at.

By the time it hit $230, the N800 had enjoyed reduction of production costs; the N810 was new. Not fair to compare the two price points.

Look, if we did not bribe Americans to stay in the US they would want to come and live with us:eek:

Excellent. I am confident (well, hopeful) this is a sign of the WiMax version coming out fairly soon.

Re: Nokia N810 Internet Tablet Price Drop, Down by $90

Well, I just received a reply from Nokia Customer Service when I asked them if the price was going to change:

Quote:

We have a 15% discount on right for the N810, at the Canadian Web Store.
I am unsure of anything else that will be coming up.
So I guess at least here in Canada the price isn't changing, YET. I'm still gonna wait until the SCENEZINE code is about to expire (April 15th), just in case.

Hmm, I'm seeing a price of 439.99 at Nokia USA's site, not 389.99?

Read the whole thread. The OP apologies for the original amount & states that Nokia made a mistake that has since been corrected. You missed it.

Sprint's WiMax network launches in April too.
