igo stowaway bt keyboard problem

hey everyone I just got my new igo stowaway keyboard today and i'm having a little bit of a problem. It was working fine up until an hour ago when I was trying to tether my n800 to my v360. It's successfully paired with my n800 but it's not registering any key taps, the green light still blinks as usual.

thanks

Had that happen to me too and IIRC the BT went to sleep or just lost the connection even though it was paired.

Don't use it much anymore, but just mess with it and perhaps reboot and it will most likely come back to working.

I already tried rebooting, should I reflash it?

Re: igo stowaway bt keyboard problem

there is a thread around here about clearing out some settings file that makes the BT paring go a bit wonky. I am actually hunting it myself as my iGo BT kybd no longer auto-sync's when I turn it on. If I find the instructions thread I'll come back and post the link...it's the first time I had a few microseconds to hunt this issue in a week or so...

EDIT:

Here is a post with the instructions for manually clearing the BT settings. Perhaps that will help with your issue?

Ok, I cleared the bt settings, that didn't work. I just cleared the device and when I try pair, I get a ''pairing failed'' message, i don't even have time to renter the 4-didget code in the keyboard, the ''pairing failed'' message automatcally comes up. I also noticed that whenever I open up the keyboard, the green light automatcally starts blinking, is this normal?

thanks

yes that's normal - maybe your batteries are low in the bt keyboard?

This is the "wonkiness" described earlier in this thread.

If you followed the steps in the link posted, where (as root!) you delete the contents of your /var/lib/bluetooth/<your NIT MAC address> directory, followed by a tablet shutdown and restart, then you should be able to pair the device up again.

It sounds like you might have skipped one or more steps in that process.

I just got this problem today as well (I have not done what is described in that post), am I going to have to do this every so often ?

i upgraded to 51-3 - could that be the reason my igo won't work anymore?

51-3 is just the bootloader. If you restored a backup, that's your problem. The solution is to delete the iGo MAC from a Bluetooth config file, it can be found all over the forums.

i deleted the igo MAC from the bluetooth config file. if you read my post above you'd see that i did that.
i looked up and was part of the thread that posted that solution.

try not to be a dick, or at least, don't respond to my posts.
i'd rather not find a solution than have some condescending jerk like the tech guy from Saturday Night Live assert and feel better about himself at my expense.
