Mobile Version of itT site?

Ok I just got my N800 yesterday...YEAH...(who needs sleep?)

Is there a mobile version of the internettabletTalk website? It seems to bog the browser down and then I have to exit and reload (microB OS2008).

I find it odd that the site I use most to learn about all the great stuff I can now do is too much for the device.

I've seen the Google mobile site, does that help?

Thanks
:)
Matt

Everyone here uses the "Classic" theme, and the userContent.css here. (You put it in .browser/microb/chrome .mozilla/microb/chrome via xterm.)
(Note, "everyone" is extremely hyperbolic and not to be taken literally.)

I like the last option: mobile iii. Very clean look!

What about using Mippin.com to mobilize the site?

Ok I think i've found where the hidden folder is: /home/user

Now how do I get access to it?

Thanks

I use 810 v2 and it works great once you tweak the css a little. My recent css updates are around here somewhere ;-)

I really need to start a Wiki page of my exploration of just MicroB.

Either through xterm, or install emelfm.

Sorry bout that... i'm in xterm in /home/user

i can see the .browser via ls -al

ch and chdir both return /bin/sh: chdir: can't cd to browser

Re: Mobile Version of itT site?

it's not .browser, it's .mozilla... so from /home/user

cd .mozilla/microb

mkdir chrome

cd chrome

Should know better than to post such things from memory.

Cool Thanks

That worked YEAH

Next silly question: how do I create the userContent.css file in the chrome folder

Re: Mobile Version of itT site?

Not quite sure of what is meant by "You put it in".
Do we create a file called "userContent.css", copy the cited script into said file and save it in the above folder?

Also does everyone have trouble with using the Search dropdown on their device? As soon as I try to type something in (only physical keyboard works - no screen kbd comes up), the search box gets covered and then completely disappears. Am I doing something wrong?

Exactly. Or use e.g. Notes, and save it somewhere accessible, then copy it there with cp.

No, it's pretty much broken.

Re: Mobile Version of itT site?

A relatively easy combination for doing things like making these files and moving them around is to use maemopad (or, I suppose, maemopad+, which I haven't tried) and emelFM2. emelFM2 has an icon for bringing up the editing function (I'm not sure if that funciton works without maemopad or vi or some other editor installed).

Re: Mobile Version of itT site?

Not Maemopad+; it is only related in name. It's actually a database based notes, text, and lists program. Nice in its own way, but not capable of making text files.

Thanks to everyone who responded.

I finally found the link I was looking for...Google to the rescue, again.

http://www.google.com/gwt/n

Put any website into this search and it makes it mobile. YEAH!
