how much is the speed of CPU?
Hi all,
I wanna know also how much is the speed of the Nokia n800's CPU??? thanx for all |
Re: how much is the speed of CPU?
400Mhz.......

Thanx......

Re: how much is the speed of CPU?
At that moment, the novice was greatly enlightened.
(WRT 10-char limit.) |
Re: how much is the speed of CPU?
up which capacity of memory-card can n800 take'n?
|
Re: how much is the speed of CPU?
any available.
|
Re: how much is the speed of CPU?
hah, is it so the same for all ???? any available !!!! when it's so, coooooooool
|
Re: how much is the speed of CPU?
yes. that statement will be true until after they surpass the 4TB SDHC card... so, you should be good for a while, yet.

Re: how much is the speed of CPU?
My benchmarks shows the n800 about 1.7x faster than a 770.
|
Re: how much is the speed of CPU?
The CPU speed is variable, depending on what's needed (it drops whenever it can in order to save on battery). The N800 CPU speed is up to 330MHz with OS2007, up to 400MHz when using OS2008.
|
Re: how much is the speed of CPU?
Actually, the CPU speed is fixed at (not "up to") 330 MHz in OS2007, IIRC.
|
Re: how much is the speed of CPU?
Are you certain? I thought it was variable also in OS2007 (although a bit more conservative), but I may be mistaken of course.
|
Re: how much is the speed of CPU?
Benson is right: It was fixed at 330MHz, as well as core voltage was fixed as well.
In OS2008 the frequency and core voltage changes based on the CPU load. This is to optimize both for performance and battery life. |

Also, when dsp is in use (say... plying music), the speed drops to 330.

Re: how much is the speed of CPU?
When i'm driving down the road at 55 MPH, my CPU speed is 55 MPH!
(There's an oft used joke about some laptop on the Space Shuttle: "And at 17,000 MPH, it's the fastest computer ever built!" ... though this is wrong, Voyager II is moving faster, so the RCA 1802 is tops, i think. It's all relative, and maybe relativity.) |
