N810 $255

Macmall has open box N810s available for $255 + shipping.

They had it available earlier this summer too at the same price so even if this sells out it will probably reappear after a few weeks.

Open box products are the ones returned during that 15-30 day period after you buy it.
Basically, someone bought it, opened the box, realized it wasn't what they wanted and returned it.

Bah, of course they do that a week after I buy mine.
FYI, best price on a new one I found was Dell at $342 shipped.

Where do you see $342 shipped? I went to their site and it lists it as being $442 and out of stock. Buy.com with the 5% off coupon code has it at $344.52 shipped.

Hmmm... I'm not calling fraudster, but I'd definitely do more research before I bought from them. They sell mac minis, N810s, used kindles, and 5 notebooks? And their address appears to be in a residential neighborhood. Nothing necessarily wrong; just looks atypical.

I agree. I found this on google after I noticed that newegg had just jacked up their price to $399. Maybe the holidays will produce some low hanging n810s in a pear tree. But at the moment the price seems all over the place.

Would you by a N810 or N810WiMax if you had a choice? I don't even know if I have access to WiMax service in my area or usage.

There may be others, but the only WiMax ISP that I know of is Clearwire. You can check coverage here.

Xohm, of course, is rolling out some places; you won't have access till the public launch, though, and I don't think any great detail of launch coverage areas is available.

If they were the same price, I'd obviously go for the N810W, because I like the looks better, and extra connectivity options are cool. But they aren't the same price, so IDK. The WiMAX radio's the only difference, and it shouldn't draw any more power when not in use.

I got mine for $299 + $15 shipping from an ebay seller. It was sealed and came with warranty and all that. I have been using it for past two weeks sans trouble.
