Take a Peek at this new device from Sprint...
T-Mobile US appears to be getting serious about brave new frontiers. Check out the new Peek device they will be offering: http://seekingalpha.com/article/9384...t?source=yahoo
EDIT: thanks anderbr for the correction |
Re: Take a Peek at this new device from Sprint...

Re: Take a Peek at this new device from Sprint...
Oops! I had Sprint on the brain from another article, sorry...

Re: Take a Peek at this new device from Sprint...
Hmmm... I'd say, "who the bleep wants such a thing?", but "middle-aged women with kids" I ain't. Maybe they do want it.

Re: Take a Peek at this new device from Sprint...
I'm sure some people would like it, I'll take one for $100 once someone hacks it to run Linux.
|
Re: Take a Peek at this new device from Sprint...
I think the price (device and service) is going to be really attractive to some people.

Re: Take a Peek at this new device from Sprint...
I want one.
http://www.nytimes.com/2008/09/11/te...h/11pogue.html It's precisely what (and all) I need when out and about. I want my phone to be a phone, my tablet to be a tablet (without needing an expensive data plan), and a small email device for email. This hits my needs and price points. And, look Ma!, I'm not even a middle aged woman with kids! (Benson, you're SO SILLY! Silly goose Benson.) |
Re: Take a Peek at this new device from Sprint...
That's silly gander Benson, thank you. :p

Re: Take a Peek at this new device from Sprint...
I can see this being attractive to traveling buissness people, from the corporate standpoint (the company, not the employee). As a ggaurenteed connection
but 100 bucks, for 20 a month I dont see the ues especially since anyone that needs email 24/7 needs a phone too I get why tmobile would want to sell it, and ****, if people buy it theres no reason not to but I cat imagine many people that would want it But i am the oppostie of the demographic, so that makes sense |
Re: Take a Peek at this new device from Sprint...
I actually won a Peek, it should arrive soon. I'll do a review of it when it comes.

Re: Take a Peek at this new device from Sprint...
i was listening to the 2nd podcast just posted today from gdgt.com (the new site and podcast from ryan block and peter rojas formerly of engadget) and about 40 minutes was devoted to the new phones and os's for phone devices. interesting listen
they seem to be very interested in android and the new htc stuff much less interested in the n810 although they have one and use it link to podcast: http://media.gdgt.com/audio/gdgt-weekly-002.mp3 |
Re: Take a Peek at this new device from Sprint...
"you know you know you know you know you know you know you know you know you know you know you know you know you know you know"...
|
Re: Take a Peek at this new device from Sprint...
lol
he tried very hard not to have to many "you knows" and made mention of it at the beginning of the podcast |
Re: Take a Peek at this new device from Sprint...
I think the $20 a month is the killer. They could pretend that people were winning them for free and make a lot of money just on that fee.
Edit: My roommate was sure she would buy one until she heard about the two-point type. Now she's sure she won't. |
Re: Take a Peek at this new device from Sprint...
who, "fluid interface"...
sounds like someone is hooked on koifish... btw, ones i read who where talking on this, i knew how the dice would land... apple could hand them a truckload of dirt and they would praise it like a gift from god... |
