Aircrack-ng Ettercap Dsniff
 

Just bought this yesterday. I have enabled RD mode. Installed Xterm. I can't seem to get Aircrack working. When i run....
/usr/sbin/aircrack-ng -w /dev/null/ wlan0
I get the error
/bin/sh: /usr/sbin/aircrack-ng: not found

Any help would be great.

question would be how you installed it. What does find / -name "aircrack-ng" -print show?

Hint run as root.

What software was on it, the 2005 or the 2006? most likely you'll have to run aircrack from the /var directories (I would give you more informaiton, but my nokia is in route to Fort Worth Texas for repair.

Permission Denied.

I did sudo gainroot. Then am i suppose to su - ?

If I just do gainroot, I get / # but nothing can be found in /bin/sh

If I do su -, I get nokia770-51:~# And then permission denied. weird.

Ok try this on Xterm:

and report back what you get.

No such file or directory. Am i suppose to install aircrack through the App manager?

Yes. It was written for the 2006 OS. Which OS are you running?

oops, I am running 2005. I am looking to run Dsniff, ettercap, and aircrack... are all of these for the 2006 version? If so i will upgrade.

Ok, I updated to the 2006. Any ideas how to get dsniff or ettercap installed?

www.maemo.org look in the wiki, and then look at the application catalog for the 2005 software.

Hello,

I just upgraded my N800 to the new os2008.

When I try to install Ettercap I get an error
"Application pachages missing: libcap0.8(>=0.9.3-1)"

I know that this means I have "libpcap0.8" installed and I need at lest version "0.9.3-1"

My question is, does any one know where I can find this for my Tablet?

Very cool app.
Need a little help bro.
Below is my x-term screen shot.
As you can see I have ettercap installed. I also have aircrack installed and working.
Do I need any other apps installed. I have all the libs. I installed the gtk version in red pill mode. What do I put in after the user interface? Also is there an icon that goes into extras menu?
Any advise, tips or guidance would be greatly appreciated. Dan

Learning a lot from your blog. I'm a newbie at this.
Installed and running nast and mce no problema bro.
Having a hard time with hydra. I downloaded the .tar.gz file but squishee (unpack app)
doesn't know where to unpack to so I unpacked to main user directory. Couldn't find unpacked hydra so I unpacked it on my mac and transfered file to main user directory. Now what? Can you walk me through. I have never done a tar.gz and I don't understand what I read in google searches. I've also read your install me guide and I tried ./configure and ./xhydra with no luck(says no such file). I would like to install the GTK hydra. Hope this makes sense to you. :)
I have n800 with os2008 and Fanoush dual boot installed. Any additional guidance, tips or advise would be greatly appreciated. Dan

Dan,

It's not perfect and sort of a half-way port, but you can grab the deb file from here:

In order for it to work you may need to have OpenSSL installed, I'm not entirely sure. I had to install it to compile Hydra properly, and on my testing tablet it was already there so I didn't have any trouble. If you need it it's in the maemo repositories (it may even be on the tablet already).

I don't know if this app actually works or not as I don't have something to try and crack with it and have no idea how to use the app, but it seems to run and will do basic tests without generating errors. The interface leaves a bit to be desired in terms of usability especially if the onscreen keyboard pops up, but generally the thing functions.

Almost forgot... to use the thing: install the deb file, and then open up xterm and just type
xhydra

the Xterm will stay open and the hydra app will pop up; sure a .desktop file would be nice and all, but I'm too busy right now for all that!

Did anybody get Ettercap's Remote_browser plugin working? I cant figure out how to activate the plugins even when looking in the config file.

Hydra works quite fine on my Nokia N810 but you might wana check medusa too...of course it dosent have the GTK frontend
but still a good too.You need open ssh2 for it o run.
