Two things i wish i could buy for my n810

Just in case some accessory manufacturer listens:

a) i really want a replacement stylus with built-in ball pen
b) a bicycle mount is also very high on my wish list

gizmo, what makes a car mount different from a bike mount?
(serious q, haven't thought about mounting stuff on my bike for half a lifetime)

A car mount is with a suction cup suck onto the windshield.
A bike mount, I guess, is something mount onto the handle bar, like mounting something onto a pipe.

(I know that's not an N810, but it is funny and practical :D)

And here's how they did it:

This is a bit more real...(and probably more helpful)

It is from a company names Navigadget. Seems they focus more on GPS things, but you might find something useful there...

You will find something that can fit. The included mounting system is AMPS which XM radios use:

Sure, but i want a real replacement. Something that fits into the slot in the n810 as i always carry that device along. A seperate pen/stylus is exactly what i don't want.

In fact i was hoping to be able to attach the car mount part that comes with the n810 to my bike. Shouldn't be too difficult, but i have not been able to get hold of another one of those mounts as the one that was delivered with the unit is actually mounted in my car.

I already have asked here if someone knows where to buy the parts that came with the n810 seperately or if someone has a spare one he wants to sell. No reply so far ...

I'm getting the brake mount version and will review it when it arrives. These apparently have a way of doing touchscreen.

Are you kidding? Thousands of pens exist that are smaller than the n810 stylus. They just aren't the correct shape. But i don't understand why it shouldn't be possible to build such a pen/stylus combo.

i know that, but youd have to think about the thinkness of a ballpoint pen tip, the thickness of the stylus( you wouldnt want anything with a tip much smaller that the stock one) , and the mechanism to switch them...twisting or what have you

http://www.ram-mount.com/ is the manufacturer's site. They have a ton of different mounting options available. I'm sure something will work.

As shown in other posts, though, there are many other mounting modes-- including cup holder mounts!

I had no problems buying a combined stylus/pen for my iPaq. The thing was smaller in diameter than the N810 stylus is. You got to the pen by removing a sleeve.

Nice, easy to use, long lasting, and a good emergency item for when you needed to scribble something down for someone.

Alas, many more iPaqs made than N810s!
