[request] What's a 'qole' look like?

Hey artsy types,

Here's something just for fun.

I've often wondered what a 'qole' is. I chose the nickname because it is short, memorable, and rare, not because it actually means something. But, imagine that a "qole" is a kind of animal. I've done that a couple of times, and I always imagine something Dr. Suess-like.

I'd love to see some artist's impressions of what a "qole" creature might look like.

If I like your work of art, I'll use it as my avatar, everywhere online.

ahhh did it really fast, with the mouse. If you like it I can make something more carefully. I dunno, I also think the hat is important.

Re: [request] What's a 'qole' look like?

I dunno why (and it's probably best not to try), but from the very start when I saw the word "quole" I pictured something like a moose or elk : big, strong, huge horns or antlers, huge wet eyes, intimidating but pacific. Does that help ? :-)

Re: [request] What's a 'qole' look like?

or lick it. I dunno, qole, sounds to me like tadpole, so i though something green and can swim ^^. The minds works oddly as everyone pictures something different.
And I though the n810 would be a nice touch.
I insist, I did it really fast, but if qole likes it I can make something with more care.
And maybe using the tablet (and rdesktop) to draw.

I know i am posting this way too late but......

My idea of a qole would be a composite of a cat, bear, and rabbit..

Kinda like this guy; Chowder

qole is such a complicated concept. I feel this picture explains what a qole is.

that picture is pretty much self explanatory

Sorry, did you draw Chowder? I thought you were just posting some pictures of another person's character. That's not what I'm looking for. I'm looking for an original work.

Now, I'm wondering: davadio & overfloat, are those your own works or are they, like Chowder, taken from other places?

Re: [request] What's a 'qole' look like?

lol, I have some more time now, so i would like to know if you like my pic and wether you would like something changed. I can do some work. I'm not really good at drawing, but I can do that kind of simple stuff.
Maybe a different hat band color? Different animal color? different tail?
You tell me.

Mole + something (phonetically) starting with 'quo' or 'qo'.

My "works" are original drawings or photos.

qole 2008-12-14 05:49

Re: [request] What's a 'qole' look like?

davadio: thanks for the confirmation. The first guy looks like he's imprisoned behind bars or a curtain or something; when I looked at it for a while, it actually made me a little sad. Is there a story behind it?

davadio 2008-12-14 06:47

Re: [request] What's a 'qole' look like?

qole: months ago, when I first encountered "qole" and couldn't pronounce it, my involuntary auto-neural circuitry changed it to "gaol". Hence the jailbird drawing.
