Compaq BT Keyboard drivers
Hello.
I have a Compaq Ipaq BT keyboard, which used to work on 2005OS. However, i'd like it to work on 2006OS but cannot find the right plugin/driver etc... Any links/help would help Thanks |

Thanks! :)
much appriciated |
fanoush, do you know if the Nokia SU8W BT keyboard works with your driver ?...
|
SU8W seems to support HID profile, there is no need for kbdd
|
yes, it works OK with the BT plugin, but as I don't use it all the time I would have liked something I can just switch on and off like your driver... but it doesn't seem to detect the keyboard.

I realize that, but I'm trying to cut down on "resident" apps to see if I can pin down the one(s) that make(s) my tablet reboot on its own now and then, and/or chew down its battery overnight, in both cases while sitting idle with the cover on.
The chief suspect, for me, is the swap file -- I'm almost sure of that one. The next is the BT plugin. Or maybe a combination of both. So I'd gladly take a driver like fanoush's, that I can load and unload at will only when I need the keyboard, just like with the CIFS scheme... |
hid drivers are in kernel so you cannot remove those without recompiling kernel and configuring them as modules. as for bt plugin, it is just wrapper around hidd daemon. run hidd --help to see more. then look at the btkbd script and write something similar with hidd instead of kbdd
