Official Maemo 5 Videos re-encoded for better compatibility?
 

I hate to admit it, but those official Maemo 5 / N900 videos are hot. Pure pr0n.

My only problem is that I can hardly view them.

Whatever is available from maemo.nokia.com doesn't play on most of my PCs: not at work (XP, flash 9, unable to upgrade), not on my GNU/Linux box at home (flash 10 but still no luck), not on my laptop, not on my N810-MID.

I can watch the versions on youtube, but they seem to be looow quality there.

The only place a could watch the clips so far in full glory was a Vista-PC our technical hotline at work has for testing purposes.

So:
Wouldn't it be nice to have these clips in a decent, more common and less problematic format so we can take them with us and show them to our friends? Maybe somebody could even publish a version that's optimized for the N8x0?

Or are there legal reasons why Nokia doesn't want people to view and distribute their ads?

Heck, I've used bugs.maemo.org to report Maemo-related typos on nokiausa.com. The Nokia USA website didn't have any "report a problem" links I could find, and qgil passed the information along to the proper folks.

The Youtube clips of N900 and Maemo features by NokiaConversations are obviously nice and widely available, but something optimized for the tablets (and why not Apple iPhones too) would be appreciated.

whats wrong with the videos? They play fine on my symbian devices.
