How can you be in the Intelligence circle if you don't know how a Venn diagram works? :D

Re: The Nerd Venn Diagram

Im a little confused by the Diagram, mostly because the obsession is usually caused by social ineptitude (or it might be the other way around.)

Personally Im going to put myself in the Intelligent circle....
I do not have an social ineptitude problems, I am a very big people person.
I do not believe that I overly obsess about things.
Though honestly Im not sure if I qualify as intelligent, maybe I just do not fit on this diagram at all.

Re: The Nerd Venn Diagram

I guess I'm a geek. Though that depends how you define intelligent and obsessed. I do know I am not social inept though. :D

Re: The Nerd Venn Diagram

I generally think of myself as squarely in the geek category, but according to this diagram, I'd have to say I'm between geek and nerd. I'm not socially inept, but I'm not as adept as some. :P

How can you analyze my post without first placing tongue into cheek?

:p

You're obviously also not in the Obsession category, if you don't value correctness! Soon we're going to hear that you're not even socially inept! :D

Unfortunately, I have one foot in Nerd, and one in Dork, but I think I have more weight on my dorkfoot.

They left the "abstract humor" circle off of the diagram.

"Abstract humor" is there but it's not represented as a circle... it's abstract. :p

you put your dork foot in
you put your dork foot out
you put your dork foot in
and you shake it all about
you do the "pokey"
and you turn yourself around
that's what it's all about

Nice one, dccupp. ;)

EDIT as to your song, it's "hokey pokey". Is that obsessive enough? :D

I hope I haven't just cashed in my 15 minutes of internet fame for that. :(

jk That was actually pretty clever.

You fool! You're obviously not a geek or nerd. We represent it in hex. #FFFFFF

On that topic, I think I've been all over that diagram at varying times. Sometime I'm geek, sometimes I'm nerd, especially after staying up for three days to code something I might turn into a dweeb.

Maybe Reggie can change your member name to "Dweebster".

Not in Qt :-)

Geek, sometimes Nerd.

BUT, most of my friends have nerd moments (like when we say District 9), so its not exactly social ineptness, right?

I am talking with people on the internet, who am I kidding...

I program in assembler! So I'm geekier-than-thou! Hah! ;)

Which assembler?

Assembler has been going downhill since the 360 instruction set. How can you argue with a language that defined instruction 69 as Branch and Link. :p

IEFBR14 - for when you really want to accomplish nothing.

Compared to programming anything that uses Qt, ANY assembler would be geekier. :)

But I haven't done assembler in a long while.. mainly 650x and 680x0 (ie, the ones that don't operate backwards like Intel chips). :)

Once you have kids, you can ask them rather than analyzing the diagram.

You're at best a dork.

The world has gotten too verbose. If you can't say it in 32 bit words, it's not worth saying. :p
