Battery life is only about 4 hours but i always have AAs on charge so I don't mind swapping them out.

Especially at this price.

Why are there coming so many shiny toys out now? :P

Also, it could be interesting if you can swap out one battery at a time and keep the device running ..

Yes apologies for the confusion. My interest is in the tablet infopad only.

But the Spec sheet I linked to is for the edubook notebook, sorry for my mistake by being overly hasty to share the news.

I have edited my post to remove the Spec sheet link so as to spare new readers the pain of working out what was meant.

OMG.... I think I'm in love. I was just stating over on the pocketables site that I wish the SmartQ/SmartV came in a 9" or 10" tablet ... this thing has an awfully big bevel on the bottom side, but other than that ... *love*

I think I know what's going my Christmas wish list...

• Android phone or N900 in my pocket
• Mifi with AT&T 3G in my gadget bag
• This tablet in my gadget bag (1GB/Lithium battery version ... though, I wish they had a 2GB version)

I think that'd shape up to be a perfect mobile gear arrangement for me. Just waiting for the AT&T version of the Mifi to be announced :-) (well, and for the various products to get from "announced" to "shipped").

I've been following it since it first was announced. And unless I get a hands on look a this at CES, I likely won't touch it myself. Not impressed enough to bother with it.

I only see the specs for the 5.7 inch tablet PC they have on their website. Have not seen this device reviewed or demoed.

Good luck getting anything from Norhtec for review. They've been one of the most impossible OEM's to get review products from. :( I've tried nine times on 5 different products with zero success. Hence why you don't see too many reviews of their stuff.

whats interesting is that at least the netbook of theirs is designed much like the touchbook, in that wifi comes from a internal usb dongle and the os is on a SD.

hell, cpu and ram is on a replaceable module...
