Hello!
Here's my first try of making a looping background for Nokia n900. :D

Thank you! BTW, you've made a great site! I've uploaded that wallpaper and four colour variations:

And one more, "Freezing Sun". Almost in the same style as the previous one.

Another one - "Broken Metal". More... umm... conservative? :)

Umh, the first one seems to be simply an filter in GIMP with some stretching...

Yeah, some filters, including "clouds" creation, then playing with colour settings and relief and some correcting to make it loopable...

Thanks again, code177! My wallpapers are now uploaded to your web-site. BTW I don't know why, but "Abstract Blue" has been uploaded by h-kan as an 8 Wallpaper Pack, though it should be uploaded by ites a 4 Wallpaper Pack...:)

Here's my first ever N900 wallpaper, I only followed a few instructions on a tutorial, but we've all go to start somewhere right?

I have uploaded it to N900 wallpapers but don't think it's been approved yet.

There are some cool Guinness ones I'd like to make (for personal use because most of the material probably couldn't be repackaged on other sites!) but I can't find any material of high enough quality (i.e. 3200 pixels wide!)

That looks really awsome! (but totally out om my league)
And as somebody already replied to the Uvid it's a huge drain on your battery I think :-(

But it looks hella-sweet :D

im a bit tied up now, but i did a quick test in liqbase of a couple of things like that a while ago.

i have a function which will just allow the background bitmap to softly drift (that actually works on any picture in the system with a single switch), and I can have a middle layer between the background and the foreground which can be occupied by stars or flow or any other widget i want :)
ill show it in motion somewhere later, just subscribing to this thread tho

I find the color green very soothing as a background image, so I took a fantasy pic I had on my desktop computer, beefed up the green and released it on n900wallpapers.

It's got three pretty abstract backgrounds that look nice with icons on top and one with a nice woman's face in the left corner for "wow-effect".

It's available here:
