just yesterday we were talking about showing a north american map to US students asking to point out where Europe is. Europe is not a country mate. Its about 8 larger regions each divided into 2 to 6 independent countries and the UK is part of it... :eek:

Eh my argument about the whole America thing is that the USA is the only country that uses the name America in the Americas =P. So yes the continent is broken down into North and South America (even Central).

But when it comes to naming countries America = USA since nobody else in the Americas uses America in its name (well last time I checked).

Well, the USA part is correct, but just saying "America" is about as silly as calling our Football, "football" ;)

As far as predictions, I bet us folks that got that special Dell deal will be the last people to get ours.

well I guess you are an american or one from the tea-party I guess no one else would mess that up even in a rush. (for those who dont know the stereo types, americans tend to ignore that there is something else than america and the tea-cloud still believes the island is not part of europe...)

I chatted with a sales person this morning. She still claims they are getting it on the before or on the 14th and it will take 1-2days to process the pre-orders. So i am guessing by monday/tuesday i will get mine or so i think

Britain is the island of which England, Scotland and Wales are.

hmm each country as its own parliament that makes them countries to me and it's not only football that we compete seperatle in theres many other sports.
we are also recognised as separate countries in the common wealth.
