Very nice work zchydem! I think technical previews are meant for work like this. So I really hope Nokia will use your feedback and can benefit from your review findings.
Keep up the good work - interesting readings :) |
Re: A peek to Maemo 6 UI Framework, part I
Thanks for your feedback. Even though all the findings in these reviews might not be positive ones, my intension here is to trying to evaluate the code and the design as objective as possible.
Of course there are some parts of the framework or rationale behind the design that I may not understand, but then you're free to comment and correct my crappy story:) |
Re: A peek to Maemo 6 UI Framework, part I
zchydem, now I'm curious about your opinion on a discussion where your blog posts are being mentioned: Maemo 6 loosing source compatibility with plain Qt, and Symbian^4

Re: A peek to Maemo 6 UI Framework, part I
Good ovierviews. Liked them. Hmm... About the compatibility. well, there will be full qt compatibility. DUI will be running more efficiently and more hw accelerated than vanilla qt.

Re: A peek to Maemo 6 UI Framework, part I
Do you reckon that Maemo 6 will be available to the N900 as an update when released in 2010 Q1?
|
Re: A peek to Maemo 6 UI Framework, part I
The only release announced for 2010 Q1 is the Harmattan alpha SDK...
PS: and your question about Maemo 6 in the N900 fits better at http://talk.maemo.org/showthread.php?t=31346 |
