First maemo.org Bugday: Dec 15th, 18:00-03:00 UTC
I'm proudly announcing the first maemo.org Bugday:
Tuesday, Dec 15th, 18:00-03:00 UTC[1] in #maemo-bugs on Freenode IRC This is a nice way to get involved if you are a fan of the Maemo platform and the N900, but cannot or do not want to write code for example. Bugdays are about hanging out together on IRC, triaging/discussing some reports in maemo.org Bugzilla, and introducing new people into triaging. No technical knowledge needed, no obligations. So, step by and say hello to the Bugsquad[2]. :-) Thanks, andre [1] Timezone converter: http://www.timeanddate.com/worldclock/converter.html [2] For more info: http://wiki.maemo.org/Bugsquad |

Hmm. Sounds like I need to get an IRC channel set up on my laptop. I'm still working on the settings for xchat on my Mo. With luck I'll be there if only to listen a lot. :)

xchat? Ah well:
Xchat > Xchat > Network List > Networks > Freenode > Edit... > Favorite channels == #maemo,#maemo-bugs That's it basically. :-) |
Re: First maemo.org Bugday: Dec 15th, 18:00-03:00 UTC
Thanks! I believe I need to register with nickserve... I will work that out eventually. Certainly before next Tuesday. I promise to sit in the corner and listen, and not say too much unless I have anything useful to contribute!

You don't have to register on Freenode.
I also survived being not registered for a long time. :-) |

I hope to have Bugdays on a monthly base, so if it does not work out for you this month, I'm happy to see you next month. :-)

Re: First maemo.org Bugday: Dec 15th, 18:00-03:00 UTC
Do you have some previous bugday meeting notes? I am in Seoul South, Korea and the time difference is killer sometimes. I would be curious if I could take a look at the minuets from the last meeting. Is it structured this way? If not, let me know if I can help some way. I am not a coder but would be willing to do some admin type work.

Re: First maemo.org Bugday: Dec 15th, 18:00-03:00 UTC
As it's the first Bugday there are no meeting notes, no.
It's not a really structured "meeting" or something, it's just hanging around and discussing reports... I know that timezones is always a problem, so I'll try to cover other times, from time to time... |
