Well i have isntalled this app from extras-testing and it opens works , i enter the text and choose the interface, but i still can not figure out how we see the end results, or the acutal graphics or what the app is ment to do? any help with this?

It's an interactive display controller, It was on show in London before the N900 was released.

I'm guessing you connect to the display device over bluetooth or wifi through a computer.

I assume that if you had the software for the display you could project your own text or modify it for other things

Someone should explain how this interfaces with a computer and how to use it... could be fun for VJing at partys or something... :-)

desktop connection software is at code.google.com
its called onedotzero ident i believe and requires a big fast java comp (its written in a derivative of processing by the digital god karsten schmidt
it connects via OSC using udp
to configure the tablet side, enter a message rthen when you get the selection dialog tilt,shake etc and press ctrl o. options are server ip and ports for the big end.
it was written for a one off installation and so is not geared for end user mod really.

HOW DO YOU set a wireless?????????????? or, can it work with bluetooth maybe??? O_o
and other question: WHERE are files of onedotzero app in n900?????????????????????????????????????????????? ?????????????

2. make sure you have a PC running windows XP
3. make sure you have a Wifi connection
4. for output, it is preferable to have a big monitor, TV or a projector
5. on the N900, install "onedotzero" app from extras-devel repository
6. download onedotzero windows PC app (odzgen-20091020-bin.zip):

7. extract zip file (odzgen-20091020-bin.zip)
8. open the zip file attached below (app.zip)
9. extract the file to the "config" folder of the onedotzero app
10. run 'onedotzero' app on N900
11. run 'run.bat' on PC
12. on N900 touch screen, type some words and press send....."

hmmm... hmmm.... so... how do you set a wireless??? can it go trought wireless router,... or you must make an "adhock" connection.... O_o....

the missing configuration step you lack is:


to configure the tablet side, enter a random nonesense message and press send.
(this is just to get past the first part, use "testmsg" if you are having trouble here)

then when you get the selection dialog with (tilt,shake, touch)
press ctrl o to show the options dialog

the available options are server ip and ports for the tablet side, and they should link with the other desktop side.

restart to ensure the settings have been applied.

i cannot help you with the desktop identty application because my laptop is not powerful enough to run it.

i was wondering if there was any options for tablet app! there was no where to see that info (or I didn't see any)
