Bluetooth Keyboard+mouse with N900?

Does anyone know if N900 support Multiple Bluetooth (mouse and keyboard) at the same time?
Like enable mouse and keyboard through bluetooth.. or is there a bluetooth keyboard that have a usb support? lol

Its kind of useless to have a keyboard but no mouse. If it is possible it would be the best tablet ever + phone.

I know that there is no way the USB OTG will work. So bluetooth with Mouse is the only hope.

So far I only see 1 thing at a time.

Having a keyboard makes a lot of sense -- a mouse on the other hand does not. There is no pointer on the screen, you wouldn't know where to click, and the interfaces aren't made for it (how do you swipe off-on screen to enable text selection, etc?)

Yes, bluetooth keyboard is supported. Mouse will pair, but no functionality.

Damn I was hoping it could work. Would be nice though to have both mouse and keyboard working. When you plugged the device to a big screen TV.
But I think future update may fix it?

Thank for the answer buddy

The mouse could be made to work on previous versions (N8x0). Hopefully someone will get it to work again soon. It can be quite handy!

AFAIK the mouse cursor is not missing, but just transparent, so should be quite easy to swap it whit a traditional one.

You wouldn't need a mouse/pointer if everything could be controlled with the keyboard ...

Although HID bluetooth profile can be enabled manually (for pairing wireless keyboards), many hurdles remain before using the keyboard as previously (on the N800). Apparently, the default layout setup matches the SU8W layout. On maemo 4, you could configure the keyboard layout in the control panel, choose a generic layout and specify language locale.

See this thread for info:
http://talk.maemo.org/showthread.php?t=34872

To tell the truth, this is a show-stopper for me, so I stay with the N800 for the time being.

Re: Bluetooth Keyboard+mouse with N900?

Crashing a slightly old thread but serves the pupose well enough so why make a new one? Hope you don't mind maxximuscool!

Thanks to a number of ace coders, seems we now have a few scripts/programmes/etc. in the repos to connect human input devices (HIDs) to the N900.

I was having a mosey through this and other threads looking for success stories so that either I or the kb owners could update the list of BT KBs for the N900.
TMO comments suggest there are good results with the MS 6000 BT KB. Is that correct?
Is the Apple one as good as ever with v0.46 & v0.47 ?
What about any others? Use will be more than basic note-taking but portability is still important. Are the folding ones at all robust?
Many listed in the Wiki are no longer for sale from the usual outlets so the more the merrier!

Ditto for mice, though there doesn't seem to be anything in the wiki about them so more info needed. I don't need anything flashy here, do the right, centre and wheel buttons work in EasyDebian?

All info greatfully received...

@haffid
Apologies for needing to clarify...
  • The kb and mouse are both branded "genius"?
    - out of interest, which models?
  • Are both ancillary devices connected to the same BT-usb antenna, which in turn is connected to the N900 using h-e-n?
  • Out of interest, what's battery life like and why are you using usb antenna instead of the on-board antenna?
  • Were any extra drivers required?
