N900 Back Cover Help
I have already removed the back cover to place the battery in. However I need to remove it again to put the sim in.
The battery cover was solid when I removed it the first time, I was suprised and was very secure, This time its too secure. I cant remove the dam thing, starting to hurt my thumb nail. I have used allot of force before I scream in pain before the phone eats my nail off. Any help suggestions? PS. Don't want to damage my phone I have already thought about prising it up with a screwdriver, just one slip and we will be both scared for life |

AHHHHHHHH MY THUMB NAIL!
Jesus! Still atached though, my nail that is. Back cover off. I gave it all my force, my face went red then it came off. Geez my heart was pounding thought it broke. Solidly built this N900.....too much :P |
Re: N900 Back Cover Help
Have you tried pushing the back as well as lifting? If you effectively deform the back by squeezing along it's length at the same time as lifting then if tends to be a lot less painful.

Re: N900 Back Cover Help
I tried using my nails and then resorted to a bobby pin. Seemed to do the job well enough.

Just use your iPhone! "There's an app for that!" Why else is it so thin? Geez... |
Re: N900 Back Cover Help
I posted about the same annoyance wrto the cheap back cover and the inability to remove it without fear of breaking it in another thread - that thread was "moved" to /dev/null I guess.

The cover on the phone is ridiculously well attached. I love it because it makes no noise at all when you grip the phone. That was one of my previous problems with Nokia phones. I guess they solved it...you just need a screwdriver to open it :D |
Re: N900 Back Cover Help
guys, its called a joke, referencing the near credit card thin iphone. its not like i said i'd get your fat momma to do it. the iphone is a cool device for many. it can still be the butt of a harmless joke. lighten up, for job's sake...
