Hardware keyboard - Bulgarian (Phonetic)
 

I like to use hardware keyboard to write in bulgarian. Now in default setting Bulgarian language is unavailable.

Please tell me, how to write extension (plugin, add-in) to add additional keyboard layouts. What's requirements?

Ukeyboard supported hardware bg phonetic on N810. However this is not the case on N900 at least yet.

Forgot to mention that ukeyboard has at least VKB phonetic support. Its a partial solution for now.

I have hardware keyboard and like to use it. :)
Do you now when launch next realese of ukeyboard and what is a list of supported hardware keyboard layouts?

There is now bulgarian phonetic hardware support in ukeyboard. Changing between languages is done with Ctrl+Space.

Yup, I *know*. :D

P.S. Though the 2.1+ version that has it is still in Extras-testing. Works beautifully nevertheless.

It's fairly easy to modify the Russian layout to bulgarian phonetic.
I did it today but it has some rough edges when accessing characters ( . , - ...). I'll post in a few days when I think it's usable

Oh... thanks for that I didn't even bother to install ukeyboard cause it was described as an on screen keyboard

Hello Bulgarian guys!
I also am using ukeyboard. It is very handy, there are virtual (desktop) and hardware keyboard. There is one thing missing - Bulgarian spell cheker.
Does someone tell me - can it be done and what we can help for be done?

I am not able to switch to Bulgarian Phonetic hardware layout, Russian is OK. Any solution to this?

Install ukeyboard 2.1+ from Extras, choose Bulgarian Phonetic.

Yes, I have done that, but I was not able to switch to Bulgarian. I tried to edit rx-51 manually and after that phone wont start. I flashed with maemo flasher, then installed ukeyboard again - now Bulgarian Phonetic works fine.

Well, I would advise against any manual editing of config files unless you know what you're doing :)

There is only one Bulgarian thing still missing - a Bulgarian dictionary for ukeyboard.
Does anyone know something about?

I don;t have UK layout - I have only English - Netherlands for hardware layout. How can I install the UK layout so to be able to use bulgarian phonetic. I already installed a bg language pack, but this is reflects only on device.
Any help will be appreciate
