Arabic emails does not work
I can read Arabic SMS, I can read Arabic on the browser, also I can type Arabic on the on-screen keyboard, but I can't read Arabic emails!
I hope it'll be fixed someday. |

Re: Arabic emails does not work
Could somebody please file a bug report in bugs.maemo.org and attach (as attachment file) a complete example email (including header)? Please remove any confidential data before doing so.
Thanks. |

Re: Arabic emails does not work
It might be an gconv issue. Try installing the more-gconv-modules package from diablo (it works on fremantle), and see if it helps.

Re: Arabic emails does not work
If you installed more-gconv-modules and it helped, then you need to run after every re-installation of libc (in practice, after a firmware upgrade)
iconvconfig /usr/lib/more-gconv/ Or simply: /var/lib/dpkg/info/more-gconv-modules.postinst Edit: bugzilla lost comments from 6/01 to 9/01, so your comments were lost. You supposedly got mailed a copy of your comments, so you can re-add them. |
Re: Arabic emails does not work
Thank you Matan,
Usually, I remove these emails from my mailbox. However, I will add a comment to add this .deb file to the system. So, we don't need to do this steps again and again. |
