N900 needs a new category
 

Netbook was the greatest new term of the past 10 years. Now that we have the N900 with a little identity crisis it would be nice if there was a new name for the category of this device.

Smartphone, internet tablet with phone functionality, mobile internet computer etc just don't cut it.

Any ideas?

asshat. its a tablet.

because it can make calls doesnt change this. just like if a setup asterix on an N800 and i used it to call people, it wouldnt change a thing.

I think that tablet wouldn't fly without the "capable of making calls and taking pictures" explanation. For most people that never owned a tablet before it doesn't describe the full capabilities.

How about you create *one* more new topic. Cal it "the best information you will ever read!!!" Or whatever. Post anything you like in it. Keep it on the very top of "Active topics" 24/7. But please stop creating new threads with information and opinions that already have threads here and have been in various blogs and reviews on the web for months.
