Icon of GSM carrier disappeared
I can not find in my N900 the icon to configure the services of my carrier.
(for to apply for balance, enabling packet data, promotions, ...) In the N82 and all other phones it is visible as an icon like the other software. Any ideas?:confused::confused: Thanks!! |

Here the icons of the GSM operators in the Palm Centro and Nokia N82. But nothing appears on the N900. Why? |
Re: Icon of GSM carrier disappeared
My little knowledge says that actually there's no support for such services, the only SIM settings are under Settings -> Phone. You can't even organize your contacts saved on your SIM. Pretty annoying...

Re: Icon of GSM carrier disappeared
Go to options screen and click telephone you can change settings there.

Re: Icon of GSM carrier disappeared
That's because on the other phones your network operator installed some software

Re: Icon of GSM carrier disappeared
Just read that Maemo 5 will be releasing its new uprgrade today in the UK and tommorow to the rest of the world. Follow it here:
http://www.gadgetsnreviews.com/it%E2...19-1/1291.html Sim services are very crucial here in my country (Kenya) where banking has grown to using operator services among other functions. The N900 is such an amazing phone that this inability to access sim services almost takes it back to the dark ages (no pan intended). With its amazing abilities its the least Nokia could have done for us. And that was the reason I was looking forward to the latest Maemo Version 1.2 hoping to find it included. Well it didn't happen this time round and all of us have to wait another couple of months for this inclusion. How sad. |
