Hi there,

I installed the msn plugin for my contacts and everything works well.

But for one contact i cant see the msn button between the rest of the info. while there obviously should be! because it gives the online status. so i cant send this person an IM on my own. i can only reply when something is send to me first.

All the other contacts work fine. I tried to delete the contact and manually add it again but for some reason it doesnt give me the ability to hit the msn button (in the menu where you can press call and sms in a contacts info) but when i hit change info i see the msn info in the list with fields.

Also all the emails of contacts that i deleted 10 years ago are all loaded in the contacts list.

Last of all this plugin consumes so much power en CPU that it drains the battery in less then 2 hours.

yeah. well it drains it bad. 2 hours is really fast but i had msn on today and it lasted 10 hours but without using it. just being online.
i expected to get at least the double of that while on standby.

hi devil thanks for your reply, do you have any issues i mentioned with contacts that you cant send an IM? because it simpy isn't there? is this a known issue?

here are 2 links of what i mean. image 1 is from my friend that doesn't show a msn link. picture 2 is shown the link just fine! I tried deleting the contact from msn and add it again. but this doesn't fix it either.

can you click avatar, add field, phone number, insert something and does this come up?

maybe cindy is the name of ex-gf of programmer of haze. cindy's are getting boycot :P

im having issues.

i cant sign in at all. it doesnt save my settings either.

do i need to add anything in advanced settings? port number?

I'm having the same problems devil. However, i believe the solution wont come until Telepathy-Haze/Butterfly is officially released. I believe because it is still in Extras Testing, there stands the higher possibility for bugs and issues to still exist. It's only a matter of time though because otherwise, everything else works fine. Hope I was of some assistance.

I do believe that this issue happens when a contacts change their MSN email address. I have one contact which has different email in Pidgin (IM software for Maemo) and in my contacts list. Pidgin MSN works just fine, but plugin behaves like you have described in this thread.
