IronMan 2 Trailer optimized for n900.

http://claytontullos.com/video/ironman2.mp4

http://www.megaupload.com/?d=L9QYVND6

Ripped from a 1080p source and resized to 800 pixels wide. Better than dvd quality.

Enjoy!

It worked great on my n900, I even hooked up the n900 to my tv to show the whole family.

For now the video will be hosted at megaupload until I square things away with the host of my website. I have a 5gig/monthly transfer limit that I will upgrade to unlimited shortly. In 3 days a 15mb video, no sound, I linked to on this site used 4.7gigs of my monthly bandwidth.

What program are you using to rip this? It plays well on my phone! Have you tried a full-length movie? I'm having audio syncing issues using an avi+mp3 format.

Thanks, looks good. As with all videos I get the smoothest playback in mplayer.

I can understand you wanting to plug mplayer, but the video I made plays perfectly on the default player.

heh plays like crap on mplayer/kmplayer for me (tried both "windowed" and full-screen) as well as launching mplayer from CLI. Pegs the cpu and the video runs about 1/2 speed (though the audio seems fine). Built-in player runs it perfectly.

For those of us that don't have a link to the thread in question could you divulge that here too please?

Hey what program you use to convert this video?

Newbie question.

In the default player, how do you fill the screen like you can with mplayer.

Thanks in advance.

Awesome conversion BTW :)

Re: IronMan 2 Trailer optimized for n900.

Just studied settings for avidemux2, winff and x264. And did this
http://www.megaupload.com/?d=3026ZNIN
It's The dark knight trailer 2 optimized for N900. But i´m not really sure if it´s smooth because bitrate hits sometimes quite high.

Workflow was following:
- Download 1080p trailer from apple page with wget (useragent quicktime)
- Extracted audio with winff (made ac3 192 and surround, so yeah little loss here)
- Avidemux trial and error with video x264 settings until succeeded
-- Mplayer resize (bilinear, lanzcos3 made weird horizontal lines which could be seen on black scenes) 800x336
-- Msharpen (because when ever you resize down it´s good to give little sharpen to picture to make things look crisp)

- Audio from external ac3 to aac 160 kbit stereo. Had to put gain automatic -3db because audio was clipping on explosions.

I´m pretty satisfied with result, but please make your judgments and comment.

ps.
Everything would been much easier if handbrake could downmix multichannel aac files properly. But on the other hand i like to put sharpen filter and thats not so easy in handbrake.

.edit
Sounds like that audio is weird. Next time I try use audacity to mix surround to stereo properly. Now it sounds like speaks are on right channel.

Actually your video has all voices on the left channel.
