So I clipped out the UPC/barcode to send to Nokia and I noticed something on the UPC/barcode that I cut out.

Look at the top left

Ah, good to know. I just thought it was amusing, given that counterfeit Nokia are Nokna's lol.

Do you need to send the whole sticker or just the barcode above the big NOKIA N900 print?

I just cut out that part of the sticker and left the IMEI part on the box

My N900 box has a white label/sticker on it and is 50/2009 stated.

What's the difference? what those number mean?

Really? Mine is the N900 NOKNA made in 50th week of 2009 (2nd week of December). I'm hoping not to get any of those reported bugs...

I once had a little pocket radio from a market (going back about 10 years now) made by Nokina. Same font and everything.

Where did you guys with 'NOKNA' on your box get your phones from?

I've just bought one new on Ebay from U.S. and it says 'N900_NOKNA_BLK' above the barcode on the white sticker on the box.

Do you guys think this is fake? If there are those with similar stickers bought from retail stores, I'd be a bit more confident that this is not fake...

Definitely fake. I think you'd be most safe by shipping it to me and I'll make sure it'll get safely disposed of.

Re: Hahaha NOKNA

I got mine from Buy.com and Amazon.com in 12/2009. Nokia fixed one of them under warranty when the screen went dark.
  • N900_NOKNA_BLK indicates N900 for the North American market in Black color
  • N8-00_NOKUS_GRY on my Nokia.com sourced N8 box label.
  • E75-2_NOKNA_RED from my Nokia.com sourced E75-2 box label.
  • 5800D-1B_NOKNA_BLK_UPC_V2 on my Nokia.com sourced 5800 Xpressmusic
  • N78-3_NKUS_SBR_UPC on my Nokia.com sourced N78-3 box label

There is nothing wrong with it being labelled that way.

Re: Hahaha NOKNA

Thanks for the information.

I noticed on the phone plastic wrapping there was a label sealing the wrapping saying: 'Nokia Care Expiry Date 18 MAR 2011'

The white label on the outside of the box says: 11/2010

I cant work out the dates - the phone wrapper label presumably informs us of the expiry of the 25 month Nokia warranty. If thats the case, I cant understand why the phone would have been sealed in wrapper Feb 2009, but the box shows a date 1 year 9 months later?

Any idea?
